About Warren Music Academy
Warren Music Academy is a home-based music school in Wexford town, run by professional musicians James and Rebecca Warren. Since 2014, the academy has been a central part of our household and professional life, providing high-quality music education to children, teenagers and adults in a supportive and encouraging environment.
We believe that good teaching combines clear structure, musical understanding and enjoyment. As actively working musicians, we understand the realities of practice, performance nerves and balancing music with everyday life, and we aim to pass this experience on to our students in a positive and sustainable way.
Our Teaching Approach
At Warren Music Academy, students are supported as individuals. We place strong emphasis on: solid technical foundations, music literacy from the very beginning, steady, achievable progress, confidence through performance and collaboration and the importance of nurturing a lifelong love of music.
We are happy to prepare students for graded music examinations and competitions, while also recognising that not every student’s goals are exam-based. Whether a student is learning for personal enjoyment or working towards ambitious musical aims, our focus is on long-term musical development.
Alongside individual lessons, we encourage ensemble music-making wherever possible through chamber groups, workshops and student concerts, helping students experience music as something shared rather than solitary.
Our Studio
Lessons take place in our studio in Wexford town, offering a calm and focused learning environment. We also provide online lessons where appropriate. Teaching is organised on a term basis, with consistent weekly lesson times agreed at the start of the academic year.
We welcome students of all ages and abilities and are always happy to discuss whether Warren Music Academy is the right fit for a prospective student or family.
